On the way! On the way!

 For a 10yr motorcycle, the Iron Zebra oozes @100kmh and can sprint to 130kmh whenever I want to. Mechanic advise was right .. once a month she needs a 100kmh speed on the highway to clean out carbon deposits coz after a while the ride gets smoother. Even though I can go faster, I like to cruise@100kmh and flow with the traffic. 

At last, road worthy

After a few hundred kms with the new twin carb Mikuni, the responds has been very clean, smooth and responsive all the way to 110kmh as if I had just bought a new motorcycle. I did asked my mechanic earlier if he tinkered with the tuning after he installed the carbs but he said no. He compared and inspected the original carbs with the Mikuni, satisfied, installed it in a simple plug-n-play approach. However, I noticed the right exhaust pipe tends to pop a few times as observed on some people's motorcycle. So I took out and cleaned both spark plugs with diesel. I showed it to my son who was assigned to send their company fleet of rental cars for service and we both agreed it looked ok with very slight soot but I have yet to show the photos I took of them to my mechanic for assessment as it has been raining regularly.
